Xiaomi 15T Series in the Works: What to Expect from the Upcoming Flagships

Follow Us On

Xiaomi isn’t wasting any time. Fresh off the global launch of the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra at MWC in Barcelona, the company is already working on its next flagship lineup—the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro.

According to HyperOS 2.1 code leaks, references to these devices have surfaced, confirming that the T series will continue this year. While there aren’t any official specs yet, one key detail stands out.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro shares its internal codename with the upcoming Redmi K80 Ultra, a device expected to remain exclusive to China. This strongly suggests that the 15T Pro will be the global variant of the K80 Ultra, though it likely won’t be a direct rebrand. Historically, the T series models come with their own distinct tweaks—especially in the camera department.

Further evidence comes from the fact that both phones have different model numbers, reinforcing the idea that the 15T Pro will borrow heavily from the K80 Ultra but still feature key upgrades.

As for hardware, if Xiaomi follows previous trends, the Xiaomi 15T is expected to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 chipset, while the Pro model could pack the Dimensity 9400 or 9400+ for extra power. The official launch event is likely set for September.

One interesting tidbit? Xiaomi continues its tradition of naming T series phones after famous painters. The Xiaomi 15T carries the codename “klimt” (after Gustav Klimt), while the 15T Pro is dubbed “turner” (after J.M.W. Turner).
