WhatsApp is testing multi-account support in the latest Android beta

It’s been speculated for a while now that WhatsApp might feature native multi-account capability, allowing users to use two distinct accounts simultaneously.

Although not been announce official, a recent report claims that the social media media giant has already begun testing the new features on Android.

WABetaInfo latest report, suggest that the development on a multi-account features for WhatsApp is ongoing and will likely come in one of the latest beta updates, notably the Business version

It’s certainly welcome news for the millions of WhatsApp users who have been wanting this feature for years. However, it is unclear whether it would be limited to the Android app or if it will also be available on the iOS app.

Those who are now using the most recent beta version and are unable to access the new feature need not worry, however, as it is still under development and not yet prepared for wider distribution. It will be made available to all beta testers once it is stable enough, most likely soon.

The introduction of multi-account features is expected to be yet another game-changing feature for the popular messaging apps, which has lately put out a variety of unique features including screen sharing and message editing. Additionally, it is rumored that the company is developing Channels, video messaging, and other noteworthy features.

It has always been possible to add features like these by either using the app cloning tools offered by Android device manufacturers like Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Realme or by using third-party applications like Parallel Space. Therefore, users will be able to manage two different WhatsApp accounts within the same app thanks to the integrated multi-account feature.
