Xiaomi’s first in-house chip, the Xring O1, might be more powerful than people thought.
At first, early leaks said it would match the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. But fresh Geekbench scores now suggest it’s edging close to the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The Xring O1 is built using a second-gen 3nm process. Xiaomi confirmed that much. We still don’t know all the hardware details, but leaks hint at a Cortex-X925 core, three Cortex-A725s, four Cortex-A520s, and an Imagination GPU.
Two well-known leaksters, @UniverseIce and @Jukanlosreve, shared benchmarks from a phone labeled Xiaomi 25042PN24C.
Why does this matter? Some say this is the Xiaomi 15S Pro — the next flagship that’ll replace the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered 15 Pro.
The Geekbench results are impressive: around 9,000+ for multi-core and 2,000–3,000 for single-core.
That puts the Xring O1 just behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite and ahead of MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400.
We don’t have scores for the 15 Pro yet, but we’ve seen the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s numbers. And the O1 results hold up pretty well.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting — Geekbench reports the Xring O1 has 10 CPU cores. Most flagship chips stick to eight.
That might be a mistake, or just the system misreading a new setup. What’s really eye-catching is the 3.9GHz clock speed.
For comparison, the Dimensity 9400+ maxes out at 3.73GHz on one core. Some chips, like the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, go even higher — up to 4.47GHz.
Still, clock speeds don’t tell the whole story. Core design and thermal performance play a big role too.
Also, the GPU listed in the benchmark is Immortalis-G925, not the rumored Imagination GPU. So, there’s still a bit of mystery here.
Keep in mind — these are early results from unknown sources, so take them with a grain of salt.
Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long for real answers.
Xiaomi’s holding a big event on May 22. We’re expecting the launch of the Xiaomi 15S Pro, the Pad 7 Ultra, and even their first electric SUV — the Xiaomi YU7.
It’s also likely when the Xring O1 will officially debut. And if the 15S Pro is the phone in the benchmark, everything lines up perfectly.
