Vivo X Fold 3 Leaks Reveal Ultralight Design, Top-Tier Specs for New Foldable

Leading foldable maker Vivo looks to take the category to new heights with the X Fold 3, based on leaked details from a reliable tipster. The next iteration of Vivo’s flagship foldable aims to be the thinnest and lightest on the market while still packing powerful internals and camera capabilities.

According to Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X Fold 3 will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage options. It’s expected to feature the same inner and outer display sizes as its predecessor but with a resolution boost.

Despite an ultralight and slim form factor, the X Fold 3 is tipped to pack an enormous 5,800mAh battery – the largest ever for a foldable phone. It will support blazing fast 120W wired and 50W wireless charging as well.

Camera hardware is also getting a major overhaul, with leaks pointing to a 50MP OV50H main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide, and 64MP 3x periscope zoom lens aided by Vivo’s V3 imaging chip from the X80 Pro.

Vivo appears to be going all-out to create a no-compromises foldable flagship with the X Fold 3. By prioritizing an ultra-portable design without skimping on battery life, performance, or camera quality, it could give Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series its stiffest competition yet.

The combination of top-tier silicon, a massive battery in a featherweight chassis, and pro-grade camera array would make the X Fold 3 truly stand out in the premium foldable market if the leaked specs prove accurate.

There are still no details on pricing or availability for international markets like the U.S. But if it can nail the fundamentals, the X Fold 3 could be Vivo’s breakthrough to take on Samsung’s foldable dominance head-on when it launches later this year.
