Slack has announced the debut of an AI-powered app — “ChatGPT app for Slack” — that will provide fast conversation summaries, research tools, and writing support directly within the application, assisting millions of companies in being more productive.
According to the company, this new app combines knowledge available in Slack with the intelligence of ChatGPT, arming users with the information they need to move work faster quicker.
“The ChatGPT app for Slack deeply integrates the power of OpenAI’s cutting-edge large language models into Slack’s conversational interface. There couldn’t be a more natural fit.
“This will give customers new superpowers by helping them tap the collective knowledge of their organization’s channel archives,” Noah Desai Weiss, Chief Product Officer, Slack, said in a statement.
The new AI-powered Slack app is now in beta.
The app, per the company, offers a conversational interface powered by OpenAI’s large language models, allowing users to obtain instant conversation summaries to stay informed, access research tools to learn more about any topic, and provide writing assistance to swiftly draft messages.
Users may get up to speed faster on channels or threads using the ChatGPT app for Slack, find answers on any project or topic instantaneously, and draft messages in seconds to connect with customers and teams.
