Samsung Galaxy S24 Touts AI Photo Editing and Enhanced Optical Zoom

Follow Us On

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S24 flagship phone series looks poised to deliver a top-tier camera experience blending software and hardware advances. As the February 1 launch nears, new leaked details spotlight the S24 lineup combining AI additions with photography firepower.

Promotional images reveal AI-enabled editing options to erase objects, similar to Google’s Pixel 8 Magic Eraser tool. Building on existing tweak functions, these intelligent removal effects aim to simplify photo modifications for non-pros.

Hardware-wise, the base S24 will pack a flexible triple lens array with 50MP main, 10MP 3x telephoto, and 12MP ultra-wide sensors. The S24 Ultra is a step forward, featuring a powerful 200MP primary camera, two 10MP zooms (3x and 10x optical), a 12MP ultrawide, and a 50MP with 5x optical.

Both models tout a front-facing 12MP selfie camera. But notably, the leak mentions the zooms on non-Ultra units utilize “optical quality,” suggesting AI photo enhancements help working around hardware limitations.

With Google pounding AI smarts too, Samsung refuses to cede computational prowess. Yet retaining photographic firepower and a layered camera approach keeps the S24 balanced.

The array of leaked shooting modes prove Samsung continues pushing mobile imaging innovations while understanding hardware’s crucial role. If these cams and software combine finely, the S24 series may conquer all rivals for mobile camera supremacy when unveiling next week.
