Samsung is expanding its AI-powered features by introducing its Galaxy AI features to a broader range of devices with the new One UI 6.1 software upgrade. Users of the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Flip4, Galaxy Z Fold4, and Galaxy Tab S8 range in the United States will have access to many of the premium AI experiences formerly reserved for the latest Galaxy S24 flagships.

The most notable additions include Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion, and AI-Generated Wallpaper. These intelligent technologies are designed to improve productivity, communication, and content creation within Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem.

Features like Interpreter provide seamless multi-lingual conversation assistance by converting speech to translated text in a split-screen view on foldable devices. Live Translate takes it further by offering real-time voice and text translation during phone calls.

For boosting efficiency, Note Assist automatically formats and summarizes meeting notes, while Browsing Assist condenses lengthy web articles into concise summaries with translation options. Circle to Search streamlines online queries with a simple gesture-based interface.

Creative endeavors also get an AI boost through tools like Generative Edit for advanced image editing using text prompts and the AI-generated Wallpaper creator.

While the extensive Galaxy AI feature set hits S22, Z Flip4, Z Fold4 and Tab S8 models now, Samsung is also bringing select experiences like Circle to Search and Chat Assist to older devices like the S21 series, Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 through the One UI 6.1 rollout.
