Samsung just announced its newest lineup of soundbars, the HW-Q and HW-C series. It has previously introduced a few S series models in countries like India, and it has just introduced a few new soundbars in North America. These releases come only a few days after the company unveiled its brand-new 98-inch 4K Q80Z TV with miniLED technology.
Q Series Soundbars
With Dolby Atmos-powered surround sound technology, the HW-Q990C soundbar from South Korean electronics powerhouse, is the company’s flagship model and has been designed to offer a wonderful audio listening experience.
It provides 11.1.4 channels of audio and even allows for multi-channel performance when connected to Samsung TV speakers. This particular model offers voice control, WiFi or SmartThings device management, Q Symphony 3.0 technology for better audio, and all of these features are included in the price. The HW-Q900C features Wireless Dolby Atmos with 7.1.2 channel for more clarity and depth.
It even has SpaceFit Sound Pro, which automatically adjusts audio based on the space. The HW-Q800C, on the other hand, has 5.1.2 channels, supports Dolby Atmos, and even adjusts sound profiles based on the room.
The models HW-Q700C, HW-Q600C, and HW-Q60C are also available with the top-of-the-line Q Symphony technology. These soundbars also have user-friendly technologies like Adaptive Sound, which optimizes audio for dialogue, and Game Mode Pro, which enhances audio while playing video games.
C Series Soundbars
In addition to the Q series, Samsung also debuted the Samsung C series, which features two new soundbar models, the HW-C450 and HW-C400. The former is a 2.1 channel soundbar that also includes a subwoofer and has Bass Boost for instant bass augmentation.
The C series soundbars also have essential features like Game Mode, Adaptive Sound Lite, and a Night Mode that helps automatically lower volume and compress the bass to prevent disturbing other people in your house. In addition, the soundbars can easily pair with TVs through Bluetooth.
Along with their current S series soundbars, they now offer additional soundbar models in addition to the C series. These include the brand-new HW-S800B Ultra-Slim Soundbar, which measures less than 2 inches in height and depth. Because of this, despite its small size and all-in-one speaker setup, it can provide a simple appearance.
These soundbars also support Dolby Atmos and have a 3.1.2 channel output. The normal HW-S800B variant, on the other hand, is designed to fit in with the surroundings. It comes with a 6.5-inch subwoofer and an 8-inch passive radiator built in for further depth.
Price and Availability
The higher end Q series models begin at 619 US dollars for the HW-Q700C model. Meanwhile, the HW-Q800C and HW-Q990C models cost $799 and $1,599 USD, respectively. Finally, the HW-C450 will cost 169 US dollars, while the HW-C400 will cost 139 US dollars. The new 2023 array of soundbars is now available for purchase in North America via the official website, with global availability expected soon.
