Huawei Mate 60 To Come With Familiar 50MP Triple Camera Setup

Huawei is gearing up for the upcoming release of its next-generation flagship series, projected for later this year. Leaks have surfaced, hinting at notable changes in store. One intriguing modification is the potential introduction of the Mate 60 featuring an Apple-esque Dynamic Island cutout on the front. While many specifications for the new series have already emerged, recent information from a tipster sheds light on the camera configuration for the standard Mate 60.

The camera enhancements for the Mate 60 may not be substantial. As per insights from tipster Digital Chat Station, the Huawei Mate 60 is expected to boast a triple camera arrangement on its rear, spearheaded by a 50MP primary sensor. Accompanying this could be an ultrawide lens and a telephoto shooter. By way of comparison, the Mate 50 showcases a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultrawide sensor.

It remains plausible that the Mate 60 might retain similar camera specifications as its predecessor, yet Huawei might introduce refinements leveraging its XMAGE technology. Additionally, DCS hints at a possible resemblance in size and dimensions between the Mate 60 and the Mate 50, which measures 161.5mm in height, 76.1mm in width, and 7.98mm in depth. The weight of the phone is 206 grams.

The tipster reaffirms that the Huawei Mate 60 will sport a 6.7-inch OLED screen boasting a 1.5K resolution. This display is expected to be flat, flaunting minimal bezels and featuring a centered punch hole.

As previously mentioned, the Huawei Mate 60 is rumored to embrace a fresh front-facing design, characterized by a pill-shaped cutout positioned at the screen’s top. Within this cutout, both the selfie camera and a 3D depth sensor could find their placement. Huawei also has plans to introduce its own iteration of the Dynamic Island software feature. This innovation aims to optimize the usage of the cutout area for notifications and app design.
