A new leak’s turning heads in the foldable phone world. Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold might be the first to break major ground on durability—without bulking up.
According to AndroidHeadlines, this next-gen foldable could feature a slimmer hinge, helping it shave off some thickness. That’s a big deal when you’re competing with the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7.
But the real jaw-dropper? The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is rumored to rock an IP68 rating. If true, it’d be the first foldable ever with full protection against both dust and water.
Most foldables, even high-end ones, skip dustproofing. They settle for water resistance, usually around an IPX8 level. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold may finally close that gap.
For reference, that “6” in IP68 means no dust gets in. The “8” means it can survive underwater for up to 30 minutes at a one-meter depth.
That puts it a notch above Samsung’s latest, the Z Fold 7, which is said to carry an IP48 rating. So Google might just beat Samsung at its own foldable game.
Leaks also show a familiar design, looking a lot like last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold. And camera specs? They’re mostly the same—except for some tweaks to the main lens.
Expect a 50MP Sony GN8 primary sensor, alongside a 12MP Samsung 3J1 telephoto and 12MP ultra-wide.
Google is rumored to officially reveal the Pixel 10 Pro Fold on August 20. Until then, this foldable is already turning plenty of heads.
