Google has unveiled the Pixel Fold, its first foldable phone, which is currently available for pre-order in the United States and will begin coming next month.
It folds to 139.7 x 79.5 x 12.1 mm and unfolds to 139.7 x 158.7 x 5.8 mm, weighing 283g. It has an IPX8 rating for water resistance, however, not dust resistance. The external display is a 5.8-inch 1080×2092 17.4:9 120 Hz OLED with Gorilla Glass Victus on top and brightness levels of up to 1,200 nits HDR and 1,550 nits peak, as per gsmarena.
The $1,799 Pixel Fold, powered by the Tensor G2 processor, will compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 in two colors, Porcelain and Obsidian, and will be available early in Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Pre-ordered customers in the United States will receive a Google Pixel Watch for free.
When closed, Pixel Fold resembles a traditional smartphone, fitting in the palm of the hand and sliding into a pocket.
“Flip it open to reveal a 7.6-inch screen with a thinner profile than any other foldable phone on the market,” Google said late Wednesday.

Customers can try Google Photos’ Magic Eraser and Photo Unblur to help them achieve the perfect shot.
