Andrew Tate arrested for human trafficking in Romania along with his brother Tristan Tate on Friday in connection with an investigation into human trafficking, according to Sports Bible, a UK-based sports-focused social media publisher.
The Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism in Bucharest (DIICOT), according to reports, was responsible for ending the raid.
Sport Bible, citing the Romanian news source Libertatea, said that his residence was searched on Thursday in relation to the kidnapping of two girls.
The social media celebrity recently made headlines after getting into a heated argument with Swedish activist Greta Thunberg on Twitter, which was subsequently shared by thousands of people around the world.
According to New York Post, the disagreement began when Tate, who is well-known for his many sexist remarks, tagged Thunberg in a tweet about his 33 vehicles and their emissions, which contribute to pollution.
Tate took to Twitter, where she greeted Greta Thunberg with, “Hello @GretaThunberg I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s.
“This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”
Which prompted Thunberg to fire back with a scathing reply by writing,“yes, please do enlighten me. email me at [email protected],” she replied in a quote tweet.

Many users loved making fun of the influencer for his statement, which was why they were pleased with Thunberg’s response.
Tate has been criticized many times for saying that women should “carry responsibility” when they are sexually attacked, putting down the IQ of both sexes, and comparing women to property, as reported by the New York Post.
Because of the offensive things he said, he has been banned from Instagram, Facebook, and other social media sites.
