Despite the fact that authorities have not yet disclosed the suspect’s identification, jail records show that a 38-year-old Emeryville resident was arrested at 9:19 a.m. on suspicion of murder.

San Francisco Board President Aaron Peskin said the suspect was detained in Emeryville, a San Francisco suburb.

“I hope today’s arrest can begin a process of healing and closure for all those touched by this tragedy,” Matt Dorsey, another San Francisco supervisor, tweeted.
